Resources

Some of this kind of overlaps with the previous pages, as people like Astraea (see here) have great help and information on their personal web page, and yet I've listed Discord's personal page in this section. There's no real logic to all this, so don't expect to find any. Other than that, this section is for other collections of links or other organisations who provide help and information on surviving and sexual abuse. For forums and message boards for survivors, see the "On Line Support" Page in this section.

Child Abuse Yellow Pages - an alphabetical searchable list of web resources.

Sexual Assault Information Page - probably the most comprehensive collection of links I've come across.

On the Road to Healing - Kayjay's marvellous collection of essays and resources is back online again! This page has a separate section on abuse and disabled people.

Mental Health Net - Self-help Abuse Resources This is a great resource, for all kind of mental health issues.

Dr Grohol's Mental Health page.. well worth checking out too.

Pandora's Box Dr Nancy Faulkner's GREAT page of links and resources on child abuse and child protection. Well worth reading.

Skitty's Not Victims page .. great resources, easy to navigate too.

Susan's Information Pages have collections of links, not just on abuse, but on lesbian and gay issues, on co-dependency.. all sorts of good stuff. Check it out.

Healing Our Lives - a page by a survivor, consisting mainly of links, all organised, rated and reviewed.

The Fly's Abuse Resources nicely laid out, and a good collection of links.

Joe's Survivor Links - a gay male's collection of links, plus survivors' stories.

The Norma J. Morris Center - a center offering help for adult survivors.

Pat McClendon's Clinical Social Work Page with articles she's written on abuse, surviving, and ego state therapy among others.

Netpsych - for plenty of resources and links, reviewed and categorised.

UK Resources

Angel Survive - a busy set of message boards, and a chat room. Very friendly and caring people around here. Usually up late at night too!

Safeline - a UK based charity to help survivors of abuse. Runs a telephone helpline, or you can write to them.

Survive - primarily contains information on rape, but a great page to check out. Has it's own email list.

Seremis is just getting going on their webpage, but promise "statistics, reports, links to relevant sites and a quarterly newsletter produced by survivors, academics, counsellors, doctors and other professionals." One to keep an eye on.
